Lem, Carol May (Cargo)

Following a long, courageous and ultimately successful battle with kidney disease, passed away due to liver cancer on Wednesday, August 18, 2004 in her 51st year.

Carol enjoyed travelling and experiencing the world’s cultures. She was a keen golfer and a competitive tennis player. Her nieces and nephews had a special place in her heart. Loved and admired by all, her strength, positive spirit, encouragement and desire to help others were immeasurable.

Beloved wife of Douglas Cargo, they planned to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary in September with a special trip to the Rockies. Loving daughter of Cheung and the late James Lem of Toronto. She will be greatly missed by her siblings: Helen, Pera, Lilian, Esther, Noreen and Donald, and all of her nephews and nieces.

A quiet service was held with family and close friends at St. Matthew's Anglican Church in Ottawa on August 25, 2004. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The Kidney Foundation of Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society. Please sign and carry your organ donor card.
